About The Gate Way
The Gate Way is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that launched in June 2022. The Gate Way strives for a world free from sexual exploitation. Our mission is to empower survivors of human trafficking and exploitation to become self-sufficient and lead independent lives. We accomplish this mission by providing mentoring, job readiness, and supportive services. We promote leadership and restoration allowing students and leaders to tackle our prevention efforts in the community, on social media and online. Empowering and educating survivor leaders, parents and youth nationwide.
Our founder, Alice Johnson, established the Sister Survivors National Connect in 2015. The Sister Survivors network is a survivor-led effort that provides opportunities for those who have been trafficked and exploited to be included, to heal, and to connect with others. Through the Sister Survivors network, the need for more culturally informed, age-appropriate, trauma-centered services became evident. The Gate Way was established to help address those needs through specialized projects.
We believe that every survivor has the potential to overcome their situation and achieve their goals, and we are here to help them do just that. Join us in our mission to empower survivors of exploitation and help them create a brighter future for themselves.
At The Gate Way, we firmly believe that every survivor is valued and has the power to embrace who they are and achieve purpose. We are committed to helping all humans who have been exploited to regain their strength and independence and to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
